Sorceress Edea Kills President Deling and Seizes Control

Galbadia has entered an unprecedented political crisis after Sorceress Edea killed President Vinzer Deling during a public ceremony in the capital.

The event had been organized to formally present Edea to the population following her appointment as ambassador. Instead, the ceremony became a demonstration of the sorceress's power when she turned against Deling and addressed the assembled crowd from the presidential residence.

Seifer Almasy, the former Balamb Garden cadet seen with Edea in Timber, appeared at her side as her knight. Galbadian forces remained deployed throughout the capital as the parade continued under the sorceress's authority.

The killing removes the head of the Galbadian state at a moment when the republic is already engaged in aggressive military operations abroad. Edea now stands at the center of both Galbadia's political leadership and its expanding confrontation with Garden.
