Dollet —
Galbadian forces launched a large-scale assault on the Dukedom of Dollet, pushing through the city and advancing toward the communications tower overlooking the region.
Dollet called on SeeD for military assistance as Galbadian troops attempted to secure the tower and restore its long-range transmission capabilities. Among the forces deployed were cadets from Balamb Garden taking part in a field examination under combat conditions.
Fighting spread from the streets of Dollet to the mountain facility. Galbadian personnel succeeded in activating the tower, but their position was challenged shortly afterward by the SeeD contingent.
The operation ended with the withdrawal of SeeD forces from the city after halting the immediate Galbadian advance. The attack nevertheless marks a serious escalation in Galbadia's military activity and raises new questions about the republic's objectives beyond its borders.
For Dollet, the battle has ended. The broader consequences may only be beginning.
