Crisis in Timber: Presidential Broadcast Ends in Armed Confrontation

A presidential broadcast intended to carry Galbadia's message across the world ended in an armed confrontation inside Timber's television station.

President Vinzer Deling arrived in the occupied city to use its restored broadcast infrastructure for an international announcement. During the transmission, the president presented Sorceress Edea as Galbadia's new ambassador.

The event was abruptly interrupted when Seifer Almasy entered the studio and took Deling at gunpoint. SeeD members and resistance fighters reached the station during the crisis, while Edea herself appeared before the confrontation could be resolved by force.

Seifer subsequently left the station with the sorceress. Deling survived the incident, but the broadcast exposed the instability surrounding Galbadia's new political direction and once again placed Timber's occupation before an international audience.

For a city already living under military control, the television station has become the stage for a crisis with consequences far beyond Timber.
